While Kat the Counselor is an author and blogger that captures tid-bits and tangents from both sides of the therapist chair, I wanted to share handouts and worksheets I have created in aiding my client's in their therapeutic journeys! Each digital print has been implemented in session and proven to further processing within the counseling process!
This handout has been created to illustrate many coping tools that I utilize in session with clients. There are a variety of coping tools that explore which method of self-soothing works best for someone! These can include deep breathing exercises, mindfulness exercises, or tools to utilize sensory systems.
This handout includes step-by-step techniques a clinician, parent, or teacher can utilize when aiding in one's self-soothing, or regulation!
